Movement is Medicine

Movement is one of the best things we can do for our mental health. And in my opinion, a necessity and priority.

It’s not just the feel good, mood-boosting endorphins that are released that give us a boost, movement is a great tool for discharging internal tension and stress. When we’re sedentary, mental and emotional energy has nowhere to go and instead builds up in the form of tension, fatigue and anxiety, which can lead to poor health.

And during our Ashtanga yoga practice, something magical happens when we synchronise movement with breath.

Ashtanga yoga shifts our energy, boosts our mood, gets us out of our heads and into our bodies, discharges anxious energy and releases endorphins

Added bonus, the only side effects are increased strength, flexibility, stamina, and wellbeing😊
